A nice, easy cake! Just fresh blueberries spread in the bottom of a pan, topped with a lemon-buttermilk cake batter. Everyone who tried this loved it.

( An excellent use for blueberries. )

This has become my go-to recipe for savoury scones, but it'd be great for sweet scones, too. It can be flavoured any way you please; I've added smoked paprika to the flour or let some saffron threads soak in the buttermilk.
