Something a little different! These are pretty yummy. It's the first time I've made anything with mascarpone cheese, and I was surprised by how mild the flavour is. In fact, the lemon flavour is easily overpowered by the semisweet chocolate if you decide to dip them, so rolling in cocoa powder might be a better option.

The recipe didn't specify the amount of milk powder used, so I went with 1/3 cup and it turned out just fine! For stronger lemon flavour, add more zest.

...Or just lime pie fudge if you're like me and can't find key limes (no key limes, yet the grocery store had entire stalks of sugar cane...). Anyway, this is super-easy and delicious lime fudge with a graham cracker crust. I did find it a little too gooey even when it was chilled, though, so reducing the amount of sweetened condensed milk from 14 ounces might be something to try.

No whipped cream or meringue, though! )

Also known as sponge candy or honeycomb, this is surprisingly easy to make--three ingredients! I bet it'd be nice dipped or drizzled in chocolate.

I used to think this was an unusual combination, but chocolate and cinnamon are so good together. This recipe's pretty easy and doesn't require a candy thermometer. I also have to say that the gooey mixture tastes amazing when scooped from the bowl using gingersnaps.

Like Mexican chocolate fudge. )
